This really depends on what your goals are, however in this micro-lesson I share one approach to being able to play songs on the guitar. I talk about the different building blocks to being able to play songs. We look at the 4 fundamental chord shapes to focus on first, basic chord moves, then we learn about the most popular chord progressions using the the same four chords that have been used on thousands of songs.
