Learn your chords and learn the best notes to play for a solo. It’s true. The best notes to resolve to in your solo will always be the chord tones you are playing over.
A lot of people focus on scales, which is important, but you need to be listening to the chords you are playing over and landing on the notes for that chord.
In this lesson we start off with learning common chord shapes and then create a practice tune out of them complete with a solo line that outlines the chords.
