Once I was shown the minor pentatonic box, I was off and running. Literally, aimlessly running up and down the scale/pattern without really taking a moment to listen to how each note sounded over the chords. Why would I? There are no “bad” notes in the scale but I was wasting time and my solos never had purpose or sounded good.
In this new series, I thought it would be great to take a moment to stop and really listen and analyze why each note in the pentatonic scale has a different flavor over each chord in a Blues progression.
