Sometimes limiting yourself brings out new ideas even with things you have been playing for a long time.
In this micro-lesson I share a concept I have been exploring to come up with new licks within the same tried and true pentatonic pattern. The idea is simple, what if I limited myself to playing only one side of the pentatonic scale? Essentially playing notes along a straight line across the strings.
